Paintings

I am beguiled by Oil Paint, and through the act of painting, I strive to create the magic elusive conversation between image and meaning, that makes art.

My paintings are about our human resistances to fragility, frailty and vulnerability. How we think, and feel ourselves to be, viscerally, emotionally and spiritually.

I tell this through; images of the human body, mythic/symbolic figures, and abstract paintings.

I want my paintings to reward a viewers patience, in going beyond immediacy, to disclose undercurrent and sensuality.

My oil paintings are generally oil on board, sometimes canvas, and vary in size.
